• 32bit cafe resources list for the personal web - includes everything from html and css basics to free layouts and layout makers. great to peruse when getting started.
• list of webrings - whether you're trying to find like-minded people, a community, or inspiration, you can use this to look for webrings of sites based around a topic or a theme.
• ribozone's web tutorial - a step-by-step guide on how to get started on your own free, handmade portfolio site.
• w3schools - large collection of tutorials, references, examples and more in various languages. really useful for searching for particular things (ie: the responsive media gallery i used for my gallery page)
