[ HOMIES DOING COOL MUSIC SHIT ]

want to hear more? check out friends' stuff.

HONESTLY WHAT ARE GENRES? or i am just stupid.

a lot of my music tends to include very weird noises / sounds. i listen to a LOT of electronic dance music, and i am ignorant of most of what is popular on the billboard top 100 or whatever lists there are that exists for the current best music. when i listen to music, i am strongly moved by the expressions provided thru sound. i am not a fan of things that are formulaic for the sake of being formulaic. i like it when things are weird, adventurous, experimental, and abstract. this doesn't mean that i don't enjoy catchy tunes lol... i just don't listen to music with vocals often. what fills my ears is usually techno, specifically of the hypnotic and hardgroove subgenres. with that being said, when i like music that /isn't/ techno, it's usually because of some sort of strong emotional attachment to it due to a friend or loved one introducing it to me or i hear it at a profound moment and time. i'm pretty bad at expressing myself with words, and i think the people around me are more or less the same. over the years we've gotten a little bit better at communicating on our feelings, but the music that we share with each other has really helped me personally understand them better. i hope that it's the same for them. as time goes on, there are sounds that i associate with the people in life and it feels comforting to do that.
