I use quite a few avatars in VRChat! Here are some photos and comments of the edits I've made to several bases.

Hanka is a male avatar base created by Studio YONO, a creator based in Japan with this base found on the platform booth.pm. I've edited him pretty extensively to have his own set of tattoos, a custom skin texture, different hair and black nails. This is the avatar that I am typically wearing when I'm out and about wandering in virtual reality.

What I really like about this base is that the proportions feel closer to the average male body, as my concern with some other bases were that they felt either too small or too buff. I just wanted to be a regular guy lol, not a kid or a body builder.

Velle is originally a female avatar base created by misterpink on Booth. I purchased this base because it is the closest to my actual body's proportions and look. The only thing I am a little sad about is that the chest does not go completely flat, as I would prefer, but it is a very cute base that I like wearing every so often.

Currently, Velle is not as popular as other bases and misterpink has created two other bases, Euphorika and Uruki, that have gained a lot more traction in getting clothes and assets made for them. Going forward I don't think I'll be purchasing any more clothes for this base, but that may change if there is something super cute that I would want to have on it.

My relationship with female bases is tough because the minimum requirement for me to even think about getting them is for the chest to be not so prominent or to include some sort of shape key or blendshape that makes the chest become flat or as small as possible. There are many cute female bases! But not enough where they meet this one requirement, and so I don't have many of them.

Nakiya is another male avatar base that I own that was created by the same creator of the female base Lasyusha, Keenoo. I believe these two bases are meant to be "siblings" in a way that they both have features similar to each other - the eyes, the lankiness of the bodies, the height, the aesthetic of their hair... you get it.

I love this base because it is what I would want my body to look like if I was born male.

Grus is a female avatar base created by kujishift, who is also the creator of Lapwing and Cynget. I felt drawn to this base not only because of the possibility of having a flat chest, but because of this base looking quite androgynous by design.
